From our alumni

Hear it from the companies who came before you.

Program alumni
“The team spent a lot of time understanding our business, who we wanted to talk to, what we were looking for in those conversations, and facilitated very relevant connections and introductions. A mix of factors led to us closing our first Australian customer within a week after visiting Sydney.”
Ivan Rawtaer
CEO & Co-Founder, Pactly
Program alumni
“We found the introductions to relevant people the most helpful as it was challenging to establish these connections on our own while being based in Singapore. They made a real effort to understand the business model and go-to-market strategy, and aimed to connect us with relevant people who could address our questions.”
Vinod Nair
CEO & Founder, MoneySmart
Program alumni
“It is a great program with training upfront, mentoring, as well as introductions to potential clients on the ground in Australia. The HHQ team is incredibly supportive as part of this process. We would definitely recommend it to other startups who are looking to explore Australia.”
Kyle Downey
CEO & Co-Founder, Cloudwall
Program alumni
“It was very good to have domain experts from Haymarket HQ be able to help us to validate and recommend potential partners that are suitable for us based on their experience bringing companies from Singapore to Australia.”
Yuvanesh TS
General Manager, Lauretta.io
Program alumni
“We successfully opened our first Sydney office with the help of HHQ’s program.”

The program

Built for commercial outcomes.

A mentor-driven mix of in-person and virtual activities, designed to de-risk your expansion. We measure success in sales, partnerships, insights and traction.

01

Validate your opportunity

Use tried-and-tested frameworks to build a global growth strategy. The kick-off and strategic planning happen in Singapore.

02

Build your pipeline

Work with HHQ advisors and hand-picked mentors to find and meet the right people, and build a pipeline of prospects and referrers.

Outreach, done for you
We build your outreach list and write the messages, localised for Australian buyers. All you do is run it from your own accounts, and we can even help you set it up.
03

Scale into the market

Define and refine your go-to-market strategy, and find the right way to resource it so you can scale.

The investment angle
Australian funds often prefer local companies, so the best partner may be a strategic company, family office, angel or Australia-connected fund. We help you build an investment thesis and investor list, and introduce you where it fits.
1-on-1 support and mentoring
Masterclasses on key topics
Industry-focused mentoring
AI tools and a prompt library
Investment strategy and investor list
Strategic introductions
Trade mission to Sydney and Melbourne
Market intelligence on Australia
Potential access to POC grants

The AI stream

Australia is a big adopter of AI.

Around four in ten working-age Australians use AI tools, one of the higher rates in the world. Governments, large organisations and small businesses are all investing, which makes Australia a good market for Singaporean AI companies. AI is a proposed priority stream for 2027.

Governments

A National AI Plan and a new AI Safety Institute, both announced in late 2025.

Large organisations

About $150 billion expected to go into building data centres by 2030.

Small businesses

43% of Australian SMEs already use AI in some form.

For every company

AI tools and a prompt library, whatever your industry.

Every company gets our AI Export and Investment Assistant and a practical prompt library to:

  • Research the Australian market and competitors
  • Define and prioritise ideal customers
  • Build prospect and investor lists
  • Develop your market-entry and investment strategy
  • Localise sales messages and outreach
  • Practise pitches, sales conversations and objection handling

AI speeds up the research. Our advisers and mentors help you check it and apply it in Australia.

Industry streams · proposed for 2027

Go deeper in your industry.

We plan to group companies from the same industry into smaller streams. That means more relevant mentoring, market insights, introductions and events.

Proposed priority stream

AI

For companies across the AI stack, from infrastructure and data platforms to governance and industry-specific AI.

Proposed stream

EdTech

For education technology companies selling to schools, universities, training providers and employers.

Proposed stream

Energy and resources

For companies selling into energy, mining and resource extraction, some of Australia’s largest industries.

Every company

Your industry

Not in a stream? You still get mentors and introductions matched to your sector.

Industry streams are proposed for 2027 and not yet confirmed. Each would run when enough companies join, usually three to five per stream, with a mentor who has experience in that industry.
